Turning Fallout New vegas into a brutal, realistic combat challenge

New Vegas is a very popular game in the Fallout series. I have done some reviews, tutorials and videos about it. Although it's 4 years old now, it still has many players who enjoy it.

There are. however some complains about the game being too easy and the enemies are pretty mundane and boring. I am here to guide you how to fix that. We will need some mods:



Jsawyear
The first one is made by a official developer of the game. The mod is considered to be a great fix for the game and it even makes combat harder somehow

Next:
This beast mod changes everything. I just started using it and it alone makes the wasteland a brutal slaughterfest.
Monster Mod.
Adds tons of new monster to the game. Check the screens and the video below. The enemies are definitely difficult!

Aesthetic changes:

Increased Weapon Jamming.
This adds weapon jamming to guns in bad condition. Adds realism to dangerous combat situations.

Realistic Reloading.  
Doesn't allow you to recover your bullets instanly when emptying a cartridge or magazine adding even more real life combat realism. To recover the bullets you need to find an ammo bench.

Supposed to mimic bullet physics to be just like in real life.

Adds all kinds of cool weapon ammunition name changes to the real life ones.

Enchanced blood textures

Improved Sound FX and distant gunfire sound fix
Fixes an annoying gun sound bug and replaces gun sounds of the vanilla guns to realistic ones. A must have! (The mods are supposedly conflicting with each other when in use, but I haven't noticed a problem)

JIP Realistic Weapon Overhaul (requires MCM)
All the mods above don't even require NVSE to my knowledge ( script extender), but with this mod you will need it. If you are new to modding then maybe pass on to the next mod. Otherwise, adds heat to a gun that is being fired too fast just like in real life.

Weapon mod extension WMX
A glorious mod that extends the vanilla gun modding. Definitely a nice mod

A stunning mod that retextures the boring vanilla guns to have nicer textures. If used with WMX, add a compatibility patch that is included in the download selection.

And some last points to make sure the combat stays heart pounding and nerve wreaking:::

Set the difficulty to very hard.

Don't mod overpowered weapons into the game

For an even extra boost ridiculous boost, take away S.P.E.C.I.A.L endurance points early in the game, but this is definitely overkill
