A way to trade game currency safer

Trading online is a very difficult thing to do.
Anonymity allows people to feel secure behind their computers and provides them security against certain actions.
This lack of direct confrontation creates a risk for anyone to trade, sell, buy things on the Internet.

Since I recently talked about the various ways of making money online with video games I would like to elaborate on a method that could be used in your risky future trade.

I call this the 50/50 method. It is a VERY simple method that could prevent loss of digital currency. This fits best for the exchange of digital currency into real currency

For example.
Let's pretend we want to trade with a person online whom you don't really know. The person offered 60 dollars for 150 million runescape coins

The price has been taken by a runescape gold trading website:
http://www.playerauctions.com/runescape-gold/

For online trades it's natural to use the PayPal system.
Now the thing is...you don't want to hassle your way through a trading website and you want the deal to be made direct.

He has the cash, you have the gold.
What do you do?
Risk sending the gold and not getting the payment?

Unfortunately most people do this.

I suggest you using this elementary trade principle that is being used by people who exchange big money for services

You convince your partner to send only the half of the money and you too send the half of your gold. After you confirmed the first stage, repeat

Now, why would this be safer then the regular method?
1. You get to see if your partner even has the money
2. You can analyze his reaction
3.  If the partner runs off, you will lost only a half of your gold. You could go as far as parting the deal in four quarters or three 0,33's

Naturally, there are a lot of websites now that protect players from losing items over trades, but still, I think this information should be saved just in case.

Thank you for your time and good trade to all of you!
